Front strike. This strike can be executed by lifting up from your hara and striking the bridge of the nose with the blade of your hand. Or by stepping in and striking from the top of the head to the centre of your partner’s head – again aiming for the nose with the blade of your hand. In both cases the antecedent of this attack is lifting the ken (sword)
